We are here, we are here!
Flights were no problem, just long. And tight, Casie's head found the overhead bins abruptly. Our minimal Spanish proved to be just enough, learned a new word already - propina - the guy said as he rubbed his thumb and finger together. Oh, right, a tip, let me get my wallet, good thing I mostly have large bills at the moment ...
Our lovely hosts were ready for us and made us feel right at home, with a plate of saltenas to welcome us.
We napped and rested mostly, so here are the pics from today. The mountains shots are during our short flight from La Paz to Cochabamba, it felt like we could brush up against the peaks, we weren't much higher. It was cool to see the mountains, green and jagged, with the little winding roads leading to a remote cluster of houses.
The other views are from Dave and Stacie's rooftop. Look closely and you wil see Mt. Tunari, which we will climb on Friday!
Lastly, it's time to play: Name that Fruit
Who can guess what Casie is holding?
Is it the fruit of the coffee bean?
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are there safe! Now I can relax! Have a great time! Thank you Dave and Stacie for your hospitality !! The pics were beautiful! I guess the fruit is a plum. I send all hugs and kisses!! Mom
